Andrea Nash of the Order of Knights of Merciful Aid - with an assist from her friend, Kate Daniels - tries to figure out why the giant three-headed dog who guards the gates of Hades is sniffing around Atlanta.

Magic Mourns is a novella where we feature Andrea as the lead. This far in, I’m not a huge Andrea fan. We see her loosen up a bit, and the more Raphael works on her, the more of her military shell breaks. I loved seeing her get down and dirty with work while trying to keep her feelings for Raphael in check. She tries really hard, but he is wearing her down!

I’m glad that Andrea and Raphael are not just some insta-love couple, and have taken the path that Kate and Curran have, where they just have feelings, but need to work to a point to admit it and just roll with the relationship. It’s going to be really interesting to see how this couple work out!

About Ilona Andrews

Ilona Andrews is the pseudonym for a husband-and-wife writing team. author2sm“Ilona is a native-born Russian and Gordon is a former communications sergeant in the U.S. Army. Contrary to popular belief, Gordon was never an intelligence officer with a license to kill, and Ilona was never the mysterious Russian spy who seduced him. They met in college, in English Composition 101, where Ilona got a better grade. (Gordon is still sore about that.)
