Vampire trafficking is a sinister business, and nobody knows that better than Keystone. After Raven discovers hidden clues in a cold case, the group sets a trap in hopes of catching an elusive criminal. But when the plan backfires, Raven’s world is thrown into chaos, and Christian’s loyalty is put to the ultimate test.
Buried secrets come to light, and the only thing keeping Raven grounded is her insatiable thirst for vengeance. The stakes are high as they travel to a place where the landscapes are as treacherous as the immortals who live there. This time, there’s no room for mistakes.
Will Raven have the courage to tame the violence in her heart before it swallows her whole?

I can’t tell you how excited I was to get this book in audio. I love the author, I love the narration, I love the series. I just love it all!
Gaslight took us into some of Raven’s past and it comes back to haunt her big time. Raven’s strength is tested and I was so scared for her. Keystone’s loyalty to Raven was tested, but Christian’s test was the big one. The whole part of the story devoted to Raven’s past was just screwed up. There is a lot of mind work going on and at times I wondered if my mind was being screwed with! I didn’t understand things that Raven was doing, or the things that were being done to her. It was a crazy situation and I was full of adrenaline and emotion while I listened.
We move through that portion of the book and move to the investigation of the black market vampires. Because of how the Raven section left off, relationships are awkward and I just wanted to cry. I couldn’t believe Raven and Christian were in this situation. But Christian handles things professionally and they work towards rescuing an important female who was caught up in the black market scene and sold. The team are taken to New Brunswick, Canada following their leads. This excited me because that is where I am from and from my experience, no one knows where New Brunswick is when I tell them that is where I am from!
Anyway, some of the old Raven peeks through while on their trip and they are almost kept from returning home. That would have started off a whole other story for sure.
I knew I was going to love Gaslight, but I wasn’t prepared for the amount of emotions I went through. Not to be too spoilery, but the feels for Christian… they were overflowing. I had knots in my stomach. Gaslight was fast paced and packed in a lot of pretty important situations. It felt like we moved from one thing to another without letting us up for air to recover.
I can’t recommend this series, author, narrator enough. This series is full of adventure and conflict. The story and narrator are a perfect match. Nicole Poole handles different voices and accents beautifully.
