A hilarious new standalone novella brimming with otherworldly charm from the reigning queen of paranormal romantic comedy Molly Harper!

Ingrid Asher is the newest resident of Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where shapeshifters, vampires, witches and dragons live alongside humans.

Ingrid doesn’t ask for much. The solitary tree nymph just wants to live a quiet life running her ice-cream shop in peace. Unfortunately, she can’t seem to shake her new neighbor, Rob Aspern, head of the League’s data science department and so good looking it just isn’t fair.

If there’s one thing Ingrid doesn’t need, it’s someone poking around in her business. But the more she gets to know the hunky mathematician, the more she finds herself letting her guard down. Can she trust him with her secrets, or will her past destroy everything?

Even Tree Nymphs Get The Blues is a cute Audible Original novella by Molly Harper. This novella features Ingrid Asher who is a tree nymph who has been living in New York for a very long time on her own. She has finally decided to follow her dreams and open her own ice cream shop. Ingrid does have quite an aversion to the League so wants to stay away from their employees, especially Jillian Ramsey who is in charge of the organization in Mystic Bayou.

However, she meets Rob Aspern who makes her want to be social again. Ingrid is pretty awkward at the social thing and seeing her try to create relationships with the citizens of Mystic Bayou was really funny. She attempts a girl’s night that brings on an oversharing dialogue. Then ends up doing the thing she has a bad habit of doing, and that’s running into trees to disappear.

Rob tries hard to get to know Ingrid. He really gives her allowances for not knowing how to interact with people. But he can only take so much, so after an outburst from misunderstanding, he decides to step back with his feelings hurt. It will be up to Ingrid to decide where things go.

Even Tree Nymphs Get The Blues was fun and filled with tantalizing foods. I’m curious to see if Ingrid’s ice cream is going to become as popular as the pies. If there will be any magic in it.

I loved the narration with Amanda Ronconi and Jonathan Davis. Jonathan did a great job creating an accent for Ingrid. I’ve been a big fan of Amanda Ronconi since I first heard her narrate a book. I was excited to listen to something she narrated again. Audible Originals are available to subscribers for free, so make sure to grab this one!
