Yet all is not as it seems. To remove Natalie from an enemy's reach, Sevastyan spirits her into hiding. From an opulent palace in Russia to the decadent playgrounds of the mega-wealthy in Paris, the two lovers will discover that even their darkest - and most forbidden - fantasies can come true…
Ok, if Natalie got anymore annoying I was going to have to punch her in the face. She is such a whiner. Of course, I would be annoyed at being trapped in a house all day alone, but did she think the world would stop and Sevastyan would not have to work or do whatever he does during the day just because they had awesome, mind-blowing sex? I mean, come on, give the guy a break, he is trying to protect her!
Sevastyan blew me away with his alpha male possessiveness and animal magnetism. Loved him. Don’t understand his attraction to Natalie, but him, I loved. My heart cracked for the intensity he felt with his emotions that he didn’t know how to deal with outside of the bedroom.
Up until about the last 3/4’s of this part did I come out of my boredom and annoyance with Natalie and get wrapped up in the story. Don’t get me wrong, their sexual encounters were interesting, but the in-between times, or when they were just glossed over, the book didn’t catch my attention. I will say, however, the opening scene to this part was a-freaking-mazing.
So it started with a roar, waned and then built back up to a good intensity. I think it would have rolled better for me if I had of read all 3 parts together or waited until the full book was released. I think this book was a pretty good introduction to the erotica world for me.
I really enjoyed the narration. Kimberly Alexis did a good job on the Russian and French accents and kept pace really well with the story. Plus, her voice didn’t overdo it during the sex scenes which my erotica genre experience level appreciated!
