Good girls go to heaven. Bad girls go all the way...
What can be worse than electrocuting yourself while getting ready for your internet date? Realizing the hot stud you’ve been fondling is the Grim Reaper? Being chased by a sex-crazed, bloated, naked corpse?
How about an eternity of more bad hair days and horrific dates? Or lusting after the one guy in all the afterlife whose hydrophobia rivals his fear of commitment?
Yeah, that’s a whole lot worse.

Divine and Dateless was a cute introduction to Tara West for me. Ash has a crazy hair dryer accident and finds herself dead and headed for the Penthouse. Not quite sure what got her there, she takes advantage of every second. Then she finds out it was all a mistake and she was actually meant for a lower floor.
We get introduced to the world of the afterlife in this first book of the Eternally Yours series. It was an interesting take on it. Hell is not the only place you don’t want to go. Level 2 isn’t all that great either. We follow Ash as she becomes familiar with her surroundings, deals with her creditor, gets new jobs and most fun of all, travels the twists and turns of a potential relationship with a special grim. I think this was a well done way to introduce the world. We didn’t have a big info dump.
There were so many LOL moments for me. Meeting up with Grandpa, having your potential boyfriend know certain things about you, dealing with an interested guy with a hammer in his head. Ash went through a lot of crazy things, but when we finally cut down to the chase and she finds out she has some special talents, there is a quick little introduction to her new job. This new job is kind of a sore spot between her and Grim, but she’s determined to make it work, even if she has no idea what she’s doing. As I saw her progress with her new job, the more I think she’s going to be getting credits pretty quickly. Whether she will move up or not will be the question!
Divine and Dateless was a fun, quick listen. I’ve heard Hollie Jackson narrate before and have enjoyed her. I’m definitely interested in what is in store for Ash and Grim.
