February is a month of birthdays around here. I celebrated mine and my son had his 24th. And yes, I cheated on this stupid diet. I had cake. The most moist, delicious cake I think I have ever eaten. Nevermind that I felt sick as hell afterward, I enjoyed every bite! Having a birthday means gift cards, and yes, for me, gift cards mean books. There were some awesome releases this month so I grabbed a couple of hard covers.
One of my goals for 2020 was time management. I wanted to devote more time to the blog as well as my craft business. So far, it hasn’t been working out so well. I’m getting more reading done, which I love, but not much else. March will be my month. I need to make small goals for each part of my life I want to devote time to, and go slowly. I am terrible at overloading myself, especially on the weekends, then get frozen and can’t accomplish anything. It’s very frustrating for me.
This month I did another virtual signing, this time for Darynda Jones’ A Bad Day For Sunshine. This book was actually on the back burner for me because I don’t think it’s paranormal or urban fantasy, but I am a die hard Grimlet and if Darynda Jones wrote it, then I am likely to collect it. Also, Gena Showalter was selling signed copies of The Darkest King at Walmart! Hell yes. So the majority of my book buying this month was for signed hard covers. I consider those worthwhile purchases! This is February’s numbers.

I know you are all going to look at that Twisted Twenty-Six and think, “didn’t she already have that?”. Well, yes. I listened to this on audio. However, I do collect the hard covers, despite my decline in interest in this series. So gift card to the rescue. My collection grows on and I don’t feel bad for spending money on it. It was also a big Donna Grant month. I’ve gotten ARCs and I also needed to go back and get the first Reapers novel.
Now if I get my act together, hopefully you all will be seeing reviews of these soon. I’m pretty happy with my haul!
So that was February. I have this feeling that March is going to be a long month. There are no work holidays in March. Yuck. Yikes, I better not get too negative now or I will never get to my time management goals for the month!
Did all of you have a great February? I was really excited about February’s releases so I’m hoping you guys picked some of them up! Iron Master by Jennifer Ashley released, but I’m holding out for the audiobook. I also need the paperback for that series to add to my collection. Definitely something I’ll be picking up in March!
I hope everyone has a great March. There are some great books coming up and I can’t wait to hear what you all think of them!
