December was a great month for book buying. I was able to restrain myself from buying any new ones. It wasn’t too hard since we moved in December and my bookshelves somehow were destroyed during the move. I’m not sure if that was intentional by my husband or not. I don’t think he wanted to move them, but he said they literally fell apart when he tried to move them. So, not having anywhere to put new books, kept me from any book shopping I may have done for myself for Christmas. I also did not receive any books for Christmas. I’m beginning to wonder if the family thinks I have too many books. Basically the only book spending for December was my Audible membership payment. I’m really kind of excited by this. Here are my numbers for December. I’m going to do a year end post, which will probably confuse the crap out of me because I think my numbers got a little crazy mixed up throughout the year.

I do have a small book haul for December which for the most part are audio books with the exception of one review book from Netgalley. Audible had a 2 for 1 sale on at the end of the year and I found the first books in a couple of series I have on my TBR. I’m binging the Mageri series by Dannika Dark, so I’ve been picking them up pretty regularly. I had to get my credits down, so I used those instead of checking out my library. I think when I get to the Crossbreed series I will probably be checking the library before picking them up at Audible.

So that was my December in a nutshell. It was such a busy month with the move, I didn’t get much reading done and reaching my Goodreads goal was a stretch. I did lower my goal, but even then I still spent most of New Year’s Eve trying to finish that very last book. I’m glad that I was able to finish the challenge, but a little disappointed that I lowered my goal. but the last few months of the year had been so crazy with this move that the original goal was beyond obtainable. How did you do with your goals for the year? Were you able to finish off 2017 strong?

How were your holidays? Did you get many new books? I pushed until I ended up with 5 new tall book shelves. They were fun to put together! Why is it Santa always brings things to put together and noisy toys? LOL Or ones that need batteries that forget to be picked up? I can’t wait to hear how your holiday went!
