Bookish Life Budget ~ December 2019 Update & Yearly Final

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 2019 was full of ups and downs. I’m glad of glad it’s over and I’m excited to begin not only a new year, but a new decade. My biggest goal for 2020 is to organize my time better so that I can do all the things I want to do without stressing about something not getting done. That might mean the blog gets a little slower, but I also want to try and do more blog visiting. I miss the interaction and that is a big reason I started blogging.

So, this year again, I’ve totally got my budget numbers mixed up. Somehow, throughout the year, with all the changing, etc. this gets pretty complicated. However, I still managed to stay within my numbers and have a little bit leftover. For 2020, I’m going to have to try and stick to the cons, etc. that I will definitely go to instead of budgeting for them then moving the budget to another category. I think that did a lot to mess things up. I am going to carry over my win from this year into next year’s budget, probably for books, since there have are books I’m reading for our book club that I’m not finding at the library. There are still a few books I have on my wish list for my physical library. BUT. I did get a Nintendo Switch for Christmas so maybe I’ll celebrate by spending my leftover budget on a couple of new games! I definitely need to put time management at the top of my list of goals for the year or I may get sucked into the gamer life! It may take some thinking to put together 2020’s budget. For now, below is my mess of a budget for 2019.

I was really excited for my haul this month. Five out of six were actually books I got as gifts or used a gift card on. I love the Crossbreed covers and have been collecting the physical copies. Only a couple more to go and I’ll be caught up on the series! This is a great way to end the year. I can’t wait to see what new books I haul in 2020!

How was everyone’s holiday? Did you receive some great books? Do you have any bookish resolutions for 2020?
