Bookish Life Budget ~ April 2020 Update

How is everyone surviving this difficult time? I have found that I’ve become a lazy couch potato. I have more opportunity to get on the treadmill now that I’m working from home and not commuting, but do I do it? No. My diet has been blown to bits, I now have a constant supply of candy at my side as I try to build my island on Animal Crossing. No audiobooks are getting listened to and only small amounts of ebook reading time. I’ve been Lularoe shopping. I have a neighbor who sells it. I have bought so much clothing, and I have no where to wear it. It’s PJ’s all day for me. Thank God work hasn’t required video calls! I was supposed to start back part time in the office this week, but a coworker came down with a fever and he’s been working in the building, so now I’m at home for another couple of weeks. I will say I am very lucky to be able to work from home. There are a lot of awful things happening right now and I am so thankful for what I have. For those of you who have not been so lucky, I am sending many thoughts and prayers your way. If you need anything, let me know!

So, because of my lack of reading time, I haven’t bought many books. I do have some for review and I hope to get myself moving and get them read. The only expenditures this month has been my Audible subscription.

Category Amount Spent this Month Remaining Balance

I am SO excited that Ella Summers is getting caught up in the audios for her Legions of Angels series. I have seen others reviewing the ebooks and my patience has been tested waiting for those audios! My collection of audios this month has me really excited. Now to get my butt on that treadmill so I can have some uninterrupted listening time!

Rock Chick was free one day and I have a deal with another blogger about reading this series so thought what better time to grab book one than now! I’m also DYING to read Desolation Road! The Torpedo Ink series is amazing and I can’t wait to get back to it. These are my goodies for April!

As I have mentioned here, as well as on social media, I’m wild about Animal Crossing on my Switch. If you want to be friends, PM me or email me your friend code and I will add you. I’d love to see your islands! P.S. I’m looking for these items right now. Let me know if you’re willing to share DIY’s or let me catalog!

Also, keep me posted on how you’re making out. Reach out to me on social media so we can chat through these rough times. I haven’t been blogging as much and am really missing everyone!

Take care of yourselves and your families. This is a rough road we are all traveling on, and we need each other more now that ever, even if it can’t be face to face.
