I don’t know what happened to June. It seemed to fly by. This year is flying by and I feel like I need a vacation! I normally stay in a hotel for Readers & ‘Ritas, but I’m thinking I’m going to need something before then. I might plan something for my anniversary at the end of August. My husband and I haven’t been away anywhere alone in like, 26 years so it may be time!

This month I moved some things in the budget around. I missed the Boas & Tiaras event, and I also had over budgeted for my B&N membership. I took those amounts and added them into my book budget. I also bought some books. I’m feeling kind of guilty about buying them now. They were not my top choices but I had made a cart at Book Outlet and as I was contemplating my purchases, my top picks fell off due to availability. Then a sale came up for Book Outlet and I thought I better check out, which I did. I’m just not excited about the purchases, which is kind of a bummer, but they do add onto series I was collecting. I also accidentally purchased a book I already had. Needless to say, I wasn’t happy about that.

Category Amount Spent this Month Remaining Balance

Books (Ebooks, paperbacks & hardcovers) $284.30 $42.38 $241.92
Total: $759.72 $66.76 $692.96

I have books in mind that I want to get for my shelves, and I’m fighting myself on buying them. I feel like my book budget is really low and I’m trying to save most of it for Readers & ‘Ritas. Let’s see if I can hold out! It’s not like I have all the room in the world on my shelves to fill. It’s a squeeze now!

As for what I have acquired this month, like I said I don’t think I made the wisest choices. I did get some interesting review books and guys, Moonstruck was released this month! So excited for this one. Check out my review here. You’re not going to want to miss this one!

How was your June? Did you get any good reads or listens? What kind of summer plans do you have? Stay cool and read some fabulous books!
