Bookish Life Budget ~ October 2018 Update

October was full of birthdays and other events. Frankly, I thought it was exhausting. There is so much I don’t get done through the week, that weekends where I am obligated to go do other things always throws off my schedule. October has seen me slowly get lax on my keto diet and I have to tighten up in November. The weight is going to come to a sticking point if I don’t watch what I’m eating closer. I really need to add in some exercise, but I’m having a hard time managing that. I have so many excuses, and they are winning over my motivation.

I did not buy any books this month, despite my overwhelming urge to. There are two I know for sure I’m going to be getting in November,as well as any book haul I bring back from Readers ‘n Ritas. I am excited about the weekend coming up, but I’m also afraid my diet is going to take a major hit. I’m planning a little margarita fun and I don’t think margaritas are on my diet! The only purchase this month was my monthly Audible subscription, so it was a pretty quiet month, as you can see below.

Category Amount Spent this Month Remaining Balance
B&N Membership Renewal $25.00 $0.00 $0.00
Buns & Roses + Bear $0.00 $0.00 $0.00
Literary Love Savannah $225.00 $0.00 $2.46
Readers & ‘Ritas -$129.97 $0.00 -$129.97
Audible Subscription $76.28 $24.38 $52.44
Books (Ebooks, paperbacks & hardcovers) -$94.62 $0.00 -$94.62
Total: -$144.81 $24.38 -$169.19

Despite not spending any money on books this month, I did obtain a few. Below are the goodies I received for the month of October. Definitely some goodies you’ll need to check out!

There are some exciting reads here and I can’t wait to dig in. One of these is a reread done with a tour group. I listened the first time so it should be interesting to read it again.

Did you get any goodies in October? How was your Halloween? Lots of trick-or-treaters? Unfortunately, I ended up with a flat tire on the way home and didn’t get home early enough to pass out candy. Made for a terrible Halloween. Oh did you go to or have any fun Halloween parties?

One more thing, make sure to VOTE! A lot of people think these are just midterms but they are JUST as important. We need everyone’s voice heard!
