What a crazy few months it’s been! We are still slowly working our way into going to the office full time. I’m alternating days with my manager and working from home part-time. I still get nervous going in and being around people, but that could be from months of isolating myself for so long. I will say, I miss my dogs when I go into the office. I love cuddling while I work. And my dogs are cuddlers. They sleep on me pretty much all day unless I drag them out doors to go to the bathroom.

I did get notification that one of the cons I had budgeted for was cancelling. Possibly going digital. So I’ve taken that one off my budget and applied the budgeted amount to my books allowance. Which, I took advantage of this month, filling in some physical copies of newer releases I was missing from my library. Seems I do a lot of moving funds out of cons and into my book buying. Hopefully, after things start up again, I will get out to some cons. I do miss them.

So I got three physical copies this month, including The Sharpest Sting, which I was a little disappointed by. I have to learn that paperback is different than Mass Market. All the other books I have in the Elemental Assassin series are mass market, so I was thinking that was what I was getting with Sharpest Sting. I forgot that this book was independently published, and as is normal in these instances, the paperback is that half size between hard cover and mm. Not sure how I’m going to fit that on my shelf now. I’m glad to have it though. It was also a good thing I jumped when I did because the hard cover for Frost and Flame by Gena Showalter was no longer being sold by Amazon and I had to get it from a third-party seller. It was at the normal hard cover price, it is just going to take longer to get here, which after being spoiled by Amazon Prime, I’m a little disappointed by.

I want to thank @TantorAudio for the great audios this month. Now that I’m going into the office more days I’ll be able to get more listening in. I’m not excited to be going into the office, but I am excited to get back to my audiobooks!

How are you all surviving this pandemic? Are you getting back to a somewhat new normal? I still don’t go out much, and do wear a mask when I do. I wish the people at work would be more consistent with that. I’m also very saddened by what has been going on in the world right now. Things are terrible right now, and I think continuing to just stay home is safest for me and my family. I am so sad and angered by all of this. 🙁

I hope everyone stays safe and has a great and healthy June! Let me know what you’re reading this month. I need to get more reading time in and less gaming time. Animal Crossing New Horizons still has me trapped in it’s clutches! If you are a Switch player, message me! My friend code is SW-0977-2482-7983. I’d love to add you to my friends list! I really need more islands to explore and catalog cool stuff!
