How do you find time to read?
This is something I’ve been struggling really hard with lately so I’m going to give some ideas on what I do, even though I am having a hard time following them.
The very first thing I do is pencil in reading time. It’s even in my planner. I give myself one hour before I go to bed to read. If I want to keep reading, then I will. But I’m giving myself the gift of one hour a night.
Another BIG factor in getting time to read is audiobooks. I have a long commute, and that 45 minutes in the morning and at night is great for fitting in some quality reading time.
I also make sure that I have my kindle with me for anytime I have to spend waiting. I’ve been getting lax on this one, as social media eats up a lot of my time so I am normally on my phone trying to keep up.
Those are my top three tricks for getting in book time. I admit I’m having a hard time with Netflix taking over my reading time at night. I’ve formed a few addictions. This will probably get better once I finish off the series I’m bingeing. The tug of war between getting some reading done and this crazy Netflix addiction sometimes really bothers me. There needs to be more time in a day, for sure.
What tips do you have to fit in more reading time? Do you go through times where all you want to do is watch Netflix instead of read? How do you balance the two?
