May was not a terrible month. I decided to drop the Boas & Tiaras con from my budget though. I hope that is the only one I let go. Buns and Roses tickets go on sale on June 1, so I am getting prepared for that. Ilona Andrews is the keynote speaker and I don’t want to miss that. AND I want to sit at their table, so my ticket may cost a bit more than I originally budgeted for. This is what the numbers for May look like.

I did do some book buying this month. I’m really interested in starting some books by Dannika Dark and there was a great sale on the first books to her Mageri and Crossbreed series. I even did the Professional Narration on Sterling. Also, kind of like last month, there was a book I wanted that was being sold signed, so I picked up Deadmen Walking. I’m such a sucker for a signed book!

I’ve been thinking about all the books I did not get for review, but that are on my own personal TBR and I think there is going to be some spending coming up. I’m disappointed by this as the list has quite a few books on it. There is a pretty big release date in June (the 13th) which I think I’m going to end up picking up a few books if I can’t convince myself to wait until the price drops some. Even if I do cave, I’m hoping to keep my haul pretty small in June. I have a lot of catching up to do with review books, so there really isn’t any need for me to getting more right now. I was able to get a good bite into my review books with the May Clean Sweep ARC Challenge that Kimberly from Caffeinated Book Reviewer hosted. I met my goal so I was thrilled with this challenge. It still has me motivated even though it is over, so I’m hoping to keep up the rhythm.

I’m excited to get my Buns & Roses tickets tomorrow. I’m hoping I get online early enough to get tickets to Ilona Andrew’s table. Because there are two of them, there are less seats, so I’ll be hopping onto the site as soon as I get up. I hope they are ready for ordering.

How was everyone’s May? Did you haul some goodies? What did you get? Are there any bookish events coming up for you over the summer?
