Waiting on Wednesday is a feature hosted by Breaking The Spine. This is my anticipated book of the week!

Shadowed Steel Chloe Neill

In the third installment in the Heirs of Chicagoland series, the vampires in Elisa Sullivan’s world are out for blood.

Elisa Sullivan is the only vampire ever born, and she bears a heavy legacy. After a sojourn with the North American Central Pack of shifters in the wilderness—where she turned a young woman into a vampire to save her life—Elisa returns to Chicago.

But no good deed goes unpunished. The ruling body of vampires, the Assembly of American Masters, is furious that Elisa turned someone without their permission, and they’re out for her blood. When an AAM vampire is found dead, Elisa is the prime suspect. Someone else is stalking Chicago—and Elisa. She’ll need to keep a clear head, and a sharp blade, to survive all the supernatural strife.

Who else is counting the days until the newest edition in the Heirs of Chicagoland series drops? I know I am! Shadowed Steel releases May 4, 2021 and we’ll get to see what Elisa’s consequences are for her actions in Wicked Hour. I’m interested to see, as always, how much of Merit & Ethan we’re going to get to see. Of course I love Elisa and Connor, but Merit & Ethan hold a special place in my heart.

Make sure to preorder, there is not much longer to wait! Remember May 4, 2021!

About Chloe Neill

Chloe Neill

Chloe Neill was born and raised in the South, but now makes her home in the Midwest—just close enough to Cadogan House and St. Sophia's to keep an eye on things. When not transcribing Merit’s and Lily’s adventures, she bakes, works, and scours the Internet for good recipes and great graphic design. Chloe also maintains her sanity by spending time with her boys—her husband (also her favorite landscape photographer) and their dogs, Baxter and Scout. (Both she and the photographer understand the dogs are in charge.)
