Today I’m going to attempt the Totally Should Have book tag. This tag originated from Emmma Books. Let’s get started, I’m going to need brain power for this one!

Totally Should Have

1. Totally should have gotten a sequel.

The Midnight Texas series by Charlaine Harris could definitely use more books. I was just getting into those books and they seem to be done. I haven’t checked to see if they have planned to do any more. The are doing a television series, but with only 3 books out I can’t see them following the books too closely.

2. Totally should have had a spin off series..

I’m looking at all my shelves. Most of them are series, and most of them already have spin-offs. I’m going to say The Hollows series by Kim Harrison should have a spin-off. With Ivy and Jenks I think.

3. An author that should totally write more books.

This one is hard because all my favorite authors are still writing their series or moved on to writing new series or spin-offs. I’m going to say Diana Rowland because I wish she would write the White Trash Zombie books faster. There is such a long wait for them!

4. A character that totally should have ended up with someone else.

Sookie in the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. It should have been Eric!

5. Totally should have ended differently.

Eighth Grave After Dark by Darynda Jones. I truly freaked out at that ending. I think my response to it will stay in my mind forever.

6. Totally should have had a movie franchise.

I think the Black Dagger Brotherhood would make a great action movie.

7. Totally should have had a TV show.

The Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones would make a great TV series as long as they didn’t mess up any of the characters. They would need to have the right actors.

8. Totally should have had only one point of view.

I don’t have an answer for this one off the top of my head. I prefer multiple points of view and most of my books reflect that.

9. Totally should have a cover change.

I know some of these covers have been changed to match the television series, but I really don’t like the original covers for the Sookie Stackhouse series. To me, when I look at them, they remind me of children’s books.

10. Totally should have kept the original covers.

Kresley Cole should have left her Immortals After Dark covers alone. I much prefer the original ones to these new ones. I’m not sure what the purpose was in changing them.

So that is the Totally Should have tag! You guys all know by now that I would love for you all to take a shot at this or post your thoughts in the comments!
