Do you feel a 3 star review is negative or positive?
I use three stars as the middle of the road of me. I liked it, but I didn’t feel a connection that drove me to pull an all-nighter. A 3 star, I feel, is a neutral review from me. It means I did like it. It is also where every book starts. It’s like a scale with my 3 in the middle. As I read through the book the scale can go either way. If there wasn’t enough to pull it one way or the other, or it just wobbled back and forth, it will probably be a 3 star.
So, in the end, a 3 star is basically how you want to take it. It was a good book, just without the interest to pull the scales in the right direction. You could take that to mean positive or neutral I guess. I do not feel it is negative at all. I do give a lot of 3’s for some reason. I’m a hard nut to crack. It takes a lot to really tip the scales in the higher stars direction.
