RRA-TopTen

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because The Broke and the Bookish are particularly fond of lists. We’d love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!
Each week we will post a new Top Ten list  that one of our bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It’s a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

Topic for November 4, 2014 is Top Ten Books We’d Like to Reread

I think this topic would be too hard to pick just certain books, so I think I’m going to break it down into the top ten series I would like to reread. We all know it won’t happen, unless I suddenly become immortal or lose the need for sleep. Maybe if I became a speed reader… that might help too. Most of these series are really long so I would really love a refresher on some of the stories.

  1. First on my list would be the Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole. This world is full of fun creatures. I am especially fond of the Valkrie and their wicked, fun role they play in the Accession. This series is currently 14 books long, so yeah, need to lose that need for sleep .

  2. Lords of the Underworld by Gena Showalter. Love this series and read through them like a steam roller. Book 11 comes out at the end of the month and I am SO excited!
    darkestnight The Darkest Touch
  3. Night Huntress by Jeaniene Frost. I’m so sad that this series has come to an end and would love to jump back into this world for old times sake. Also, there are things other people have talked about in this series that I have plain forgotten about, so I would like to jog my memory! This series is 7 books long.

  4. Charley Davidson by Darynda Jones. This series is currently on book 7 with release of book 8 releasing May 9, 2015. I am currently reading book 7, but I would love to go back and start from the beginning again. Where it all started. These books made me laugh and are great on audio. Definitely a must-listen!

  5. White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland. This series had me laughing so hard! I listened on audio and the narrator hit it right on. The series is currently at 4 books and I have heard a rumor of a 5th, but we will have to wait and see.

  6. Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward. I love these guys! There were a couple of books in the series that were just ok, but with a long running series that is to be expected. The King is book 12 in the series with The Shadows (book 13) releasing on March 31, 2015.

  7. Midnight Breed by Lara Adrian. This is another series I love featuring kick ass paranormal warriors. Adrian pulls a trick in this series where she jumps 20 years into the future to follow the children of the heros and heroines of the first 10 books. This series is on book 12. Now I would like to go back and refresh those stories and the kid’s parent’s initial love stories.

  8. Chicagoland Vampires by Chloe Neill. This is one of my favorite urban fantasy series and Merit grows so much throughout the series that it would be fun and go back to where it all started. Book 10 was just released last August and book 11 is scheduled for March 3rd, 2015.

  9. The Hollows by Kim Harrison. This is the series that started my love for the urban fantasy series, and now that it is officially over after 13 books, I’d like to go back and relive all the fun and excitement that this series brought to me.
deadwitchwalking The Witch With No Name
  10. Women of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong. This was my second love in the urban fantasy world, which is also over and needs a good reread. This series also ran for 13 books and even though you were coming across the same characters sometimes, you were still kind of off in that book’s own little part of the world or supernatural being. One book would be werewolves, and the next would be witches. It was fun to bounce around and see what each species was doing and what part they were playing in the overall scheme of things.

What books are on your list to reread? Do you find you sometimes need to go back in a series to refresh yourself on what happened?
