The year started out with some great expectations. I must have had too much champagne. I did restrict myself to my Goodreads Challenge as well as the Audiobook Challenge that Book Nympho and Hot Listens hosted. It was disappointing for me not to meet my GR challenge. I probably should have sat down on the 31st and read every novella I could get my hands on. The Audiobook Challenge was the only challenge I think I actually accomplished. I’ve become such an audio junkie that my reviews can’t keep up. I always have the next book, especially if it is a series, queued up and ready to go. My results will show the few I managed to review, as well as a list of the books I listened to that didn’t get a review. They will get reviewed, I just have to get myself caught up.

My GR challenge haunted me every time I visited the site. I was really hoping that I could get caught up, but the year went by so fast and personal stuff kept me from getting in as much reading.

So I fell short on my Goodreads Challenge this year. This is going to be my main challenge next year. I’m going to focus more. Challenges will be few in 2017. For most people, a challenge will motivate someone to strive to meet what they have set out to do, but I found that I am not as driven by these. I have become obsessed with using a planner this year. It may help me keep track of what I’m doing and setting goals. I will use it to try and remind myself what my goals are, but I still think I will keep to a minimum. The stress and frustration kind of bothered me this year.

Above is the results of my Goodreads challenge. Check out under my Challenges drop down to view the results of the challenges I did attempt this year.

I hope all of you were able to achieve your goals and am excited to get 2017 planned. Are there any top challenges you are looking for this year?
