For someone who hit a huge Half Price Book warehouse sale, I think I did pretty well. I also decided not to attend one of the cons I had budgeted for, so I got that money added back in to the monthly total. I also got to do something I really enjoy doing. Buying books for others. I love that my daughter has gotten into reading, and my son’s girlfriend is a big reader too.
This month I won one of October’s Year of the Sheep giveaways over on I Smell Sheep which even included a t-shirt along with the books and other goodies. Thank you Sharon! I Smell Sheep is now taking entries on November’s Year of the Sheep contest so make sure to head over there and get entered!
We’ve only got one more month to tie up the year’s budget and I think I’m actually going to have a nice little money pool at the end. Now just what should I treat myself with….

I’m really excited, both about how much I still have in my book budget as well as the great haul of books. I’m hoping that most of the pain from my surgery a couple of days ago will be diminished. I would love to be able to concentrate!
