Posted February 24, 2015 by Tanya in Top Ten / 0 Comments

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because The Broke and the Bookish are particularly fond of lists. We’d love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It’s a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

Topic for February 24, 2015 is my top ten favorite heroines from books.

I read mostly paranormal romance and the heroines stick out, but the men. Well, the men are always front and foremost in my mind. But I know I can come up with ten of my favorite heroines!

Cat Crawford from the Night Huntress series (Halfway to the Grave book 1)

Anya from Lords of the Underworld (The Darkest Kiss book 2)

Sin from Demonica (Sin Undone book 5)

Keeley from Lords of the Underworld (The Darkest Touch book 11)

Charley Davidson from Charley Davidson series (First Grave on the Right book 1)

Gin from Elemental Assassins (Spider’s Bite book 1)

Regin from Immortals After Dark (Dreams of a Dark Warrior book 11)

Nix from Immortals After Dark (A Hunger Like No Other book 1)

Limos from Lords of Deliverance (Immortal Rider book 2)

Merit from Chicagoland Vampires (Some Girls Bite book 1)

The female characters are all chosen because not only can they kick some ass, but they have great sarcasm, wit and just plain make me laugh out loud. I know Nix really isn’t a heroine in any of the books and is just a side character, but who could leave that powerful, crazy Valkrie out of the list!

Those are my top ten favorite heroines, who would yours be?
