“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Breaking the Spine where we talk about the books we are looking forward to.

Between standing Sentinel of Cadogan house and making society appearances with House Master Ethan Sullivan, a new member of the American Association of Vampires, Merit has her hands full. The last thing she needs is trouble, especially of the deadly kind.

But when an old friend shows up in need, Merit can’t refuse. Morgan Greer, Master of House Navarre, has gotten himself into serious debt with a dangerous Chicago crime syndicate known as the Triad. And they’re willing to exact more than a pound of flesh for payback—unless Merit can find a way to stop them.

Only the Triad’s connections go deeper than Merit knows, and even one wrong move could be her last…

Say what?! Morgan is going to go to Merit for help? This I have to see. I’m trying to imagine Ethan’s response to Merit helping Morgan after their previous relationship. It was a long time ago, but still, I thought Morgan harbored some pretty mean feelings toward Merit. This must be a doozy of a problem he has. I also can’t wait to see how the new American Association of Vampires is going to work out. I honestly think it should be led by Ethan. That other chick is pretty ruthless, but maybe that is what the North American vamps need.

I can’t miss an installment of the Chicagoland Vampires and this one is already on the pre-order list to be released March 3, 2015!

About Chloe Neill

Chloe Neill

Chloe Neill was born and raised in the South, but now makes her home in the Midwest—just close enough to Cadogan House and St. Sophia's to keep an eye on things. When not transcribing Merit’s and Lily’s adventures, she bakes, works, and scours the Internet for good recipes and great graphic design. Chloe also maintains her sanity by spending time with her boys—her husband (also her favorite landscape photographer) and their dogs, Baxter and Scout. (Both she and the photographer understand the dogs are in charge.)
