Waiting on Wednesday is a feature hosted by Breaking The Spine. This is my anticipated book of the week!
Security specialist Bowen Knight has come back from the dead. But there’s a ticking time bomb in his head: a chip implanted to block telepathic interference that could fail at any moment–taking his brain along with it. With no time to waste, he should be back on land helping the Human Alliance. Instead, he’s at the bottom of the ocean, consumed with an enigmatic changeling…
Kaia Luna may have traded in science for being a chef, but she won’t hide the facts of Bo’s condition from him or herself. She’s suffered too much loss in her life to fall prey to the dangerous charm of a human who is a dead man walking. And she carries a devastating secret Bo could never imagine…
But when Kaia is taken by those who mean her deadly harm, all bets are off. Bo will do anything to get her back–even if it means striking a devil’s bargain and giving up his mind to the enemy…
Ocean Light is book two in the spin off series Psy-Changeling Trinity. Some people are ok with starting with spin offs but I am glad I read Psy-Changeling first. There is just so much to this world and I think that gives you the opportunity to focus on other aspects of the book as you read.
Bowen has been a character straight from the original series and is human. He has experimented with himself to try and save his mind from the Psy but has put himself in grave danger. I’ve really been interested to see how he is going to survive and now that I see he has a book of his own, I just know they have to find a way to save him. I’m also curious as to why he is in the ocean. So many questions! Fortunately, Ocean Light releases June 12, 2018 so all those questions can be answered! This going to be a perfect summer read. If you haven’t dug into Nalini Singh’s Psy-Changeling series I recommend you do ASAP. It is truly an original world that really tickles the imagination. Would you go to the lengths Bowen has to protect your mind from the Psy??
