Top Ten Blogger Pet Peeves
I don’t think I have been in the blogger world long enough, or deep enough that I have too many pet peeves, but I will try to get to ten.
- Blogs that spend more time pimping themselves out to get followers than actually making contact and building relationships with their current readership. I understand that those blogs trying to earn money from their blogs need those numbers, but personally I prefer to follow blogs that also take care of their current followers.
- Blog blitzes. When I open my bloglovin’ and see that more than a dozen of the blogs I follow all have the same content on a specific day, or even within a couple of days. I figure they are all going to be the same stuff over and over so I don’t bother with them. The ones I have read are all pushy and no personal touches to them at all.
- Drama. I don’t like anything that might make you feel like you’re stuck in the middle and may result in my terminating my subscription to both parties. I don’t have time for that shit, I want to read about books, not about all that he said / she said bull shit. Isn’t that in a song?
- Blogs that can’t seem to come up with their own content and stoop to the low of the low with plagiarism.
- Busy looking blogs. When there is so much going on, music popping up, flash and gifs all going on at once totally distracts me and the reason I came to the blog in the first place. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy some of the gifs, not just a whole post of them.
I can’t think of anymore and I am already late, late, late with this post so I will leave it there. I am sure there are others, but these are my top ones. What would be a peeve of yours about some blogs? Especially leave a comment if it is something about mine! 😉
