Waiting on Wednesday is a feature hosted by Breaking The Spine. This is my anticipated book of the week!

In Charlemont, Kentucky, the Bradford family is the crème de la crème of high society—just like their exclusive brand of bourbon. And their complicated lives and vast estate are run by a discrete staff who inevitably become embroiled in their affairs. This is especially true now, when the apparent suicide of the family patriarch is starting to look more and more like murder…

No one is above suspicion—especially the eldest Bradford son, Edward. The bad blood between him and his father is known far and wide, and he is aware that he could be named a suspect. As the investigation into the death intensifies, he keeps himself busy at the bottom of a bottle—as well as with his former horse trainer’s daughter. Meanwhile, the family’s financial future lies in the perfectly manicured hands of a business rival, a woman who wants Edward all to herself.

Everything has consequences; everybody has secrets. And few can be trusted. Then, at the very brink of the family’s demise, someone thought lost to them forever returns to the fold. Maxwell Bradford has come home. But is he a savior…or the worst of all the sinners?

The Bourbon Kings series is not one I would normally read. It is not paranormal at all, and although the first book in the series, The Bourbon Kings held a bit of romance, I still wouldn’t really call the book itself a romance. The story seemed to be more of a soap opera type of book. It contains the trials and tribulations of the rich and famous living in the south.

Now, you all know I’m a paranormal person. However, this book is written by one of my favorite authors, and I cannot sway from following her wherever she goes. Hence my interest in this series. I really enjoyed the first book which left me with questions I can’t wait to have answered. The characters have all the secret flaws they don’t let the outside world see. It pulls me in and fascinates me. Angels’ Share hopefully has the answers to questions I have and new adventures to immerse myself in. Unfortunately we must wait until July 26, 2016 to get our greedy hands on it. Reassure yourself though, by hitting that preorder button now to make sure you have it as soon as it releases! It’s going to be a fun and interesting journey and I can’t wait!
