Good morning all! Today is Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon hosted over at 24hourreadathon.com. This is the explanation for my being up at this crazy early time on a Saturday! My poor pug doesn’t understand getting up before an alarm clock goes off.
What is Dewey’s 24-Hour Read-a-thon? For 24 hours, we read books, post to our blogs about our reading, and visit other readers’ blogs. We also participate in mini-challenges throughout the day. It happens twice a year, in April and in October. Track progress and updates on twitter with the hashtag #readathon
This is where I will be tracking my progress throughout the day. You can see my reading goals from yesterday’s post here.
It is 7am Central and here is the status of my current reads:
I don’t know why my audio phone app is not showing covers anymore. It used to on my old phone, but then I also held the files down on the device drive and now they are on my SD card of my new phone. Not sure if it makes a difference but it is annoying. If anyone knows how to fix it, it is the Smart Audiobook Player app for Android.
Let’s get started!
Time in now 10am and I’m taking a quick snack break and a peek online to do some blog stalking. I’m reading on my kindle for the past three hours and am now at 83% of The King. Boy this is a lonnnnngggg book. How is everyone else fairing so far?
Time now is 3pm, 8 hours into the readathon and I’ve already lost 2.5 hours. After a restless night, I crashed for a nap, but am back and ready to go. Here is my progress on my books so far. Definitely showing how slow and sleepy I’ve been!
It is 7pm Central, and I have been at this 12 hours now, so halfway through. I have just finished The King by J.R. Ward. I’m moving on to my ebook, Crave The Night by Lara Adrian. I am still listening to Ecstasy In Darkness. I haven’t been doing any of the challenges, just mainly trying to get the page count in. I really wanted to have The King done hours ago. Oh well, maybe we will have a better pace this next half where I won’t have as many distractions.
