I love Lenora Bell’s historical romances, so I had to snag a copy when I saw she was entering the mystery/thriller field. We start off diving right into the action where a foreign exchange student goes missing and a state department diplomat is on the case. I loved that this is told in alternating POV’s, one being the missing girl Bowie and the other being the diplomat Lake that is looking for her. This shed light on what was really going on before it all was revealed at the end. I will say that the writing is much different from her historical romance books, those being flowy and lighthearted, this was a tad stiff and serious. I enjoyed the whodunit and while I did guess it before the big reveal, this made for an interesting read. If you are a fan of mysteries and thrillers you should try this.
