Return to New York Times bestselling author Donna Grant's Dark Kings world for a special prequel novella…
Three extraordinary beings, one tangled Fate.
Untold power requires unfathomable responsibility. But it also brings danger, sacrifice, heartache, and many tough decisions. One fateful day and the choices and actions therein have the power to ripple across time, affecting more people than ever imagined.
Destiny brought them together. Fate tore them apart. But time may heal all wounds.

In Of Fire and Flame, we go back to the beginning of Rhi & Con’s relationship. We also get to see what happened to Rhi when Erith finds her.
I was terribly heartbroken for Con & Rhi throughout the book. Con, despite knowing his reasons, had me wanting to yell at him. They suffered so much just to protect the Kings. I still get a knot in my stomach remembering the heartbreak.
One thing did stick out. Something that is said in of the Reaper novels contradicts Erith’s part in what happens to Rhi. I read this before I read the Reapers, but when I got to that part, I was like, hey, wait a minute, that’s not true. I’m not sure if this is because they really are two separate series and it may have gone unnoticed, but the part Erith plays in Of Fire and Flame makes this a blaring contradiction.
Besides that, I was really interested in learning the story behind one of the biggest relationships in the whole series. If you followed this series, I would highly suggest you grab this novella. It answers a lot of questions.
