Months after moving to the mysterious city of Cognito, Silver is developing her gifts as a Mage and learning how to live under new laws. She is forced to give up her old life and live in secret among the humans. There is finally hope of leading an ordinary life . . .
Until Logan Cross walks into it.
Their chance meeting leads her close to discovering the identity of the nameless Mage who once stole her light and discovered the unique power she possesses. That knowledge poses an unimaginable threat to Silver, fueling the search to find out who he is before he finds her.
Lives are at stake. Truths are revealed. And an unexpected passion ignites.
"An outspoken woman makes the world a livable place. You have fire in you, and I would never put that out."

Silver is being protected while the others continue the search for the Mage who was stealing her light. Little did she know that trouble would come knocking at her door. Or that she would entertain him as she did. I got pulled into that situation pretty quick and the rest of the book fell in place. I had a bit of a feeling where Silver and Logan where going to go, but was a tad frustrated with Silver’s lack of commitment. I shouldn’t be, as we know a lot of her backstory, but I just wanted her to fall for Logan. I didn’t want him to end up in the “friend zone” like so many of the male characters before him. I was so ready for a romance here.
Silver continues to stretch her new abilities. She continues to go against Justus’s wishes which brings both good and bad consequences. Silver is relieved when she is chosen to help on a trip to gather more information on the mage that is after her.
In Twist we get a little more romance, which I was hoping for, along with some exciting action. Silver manages to find herself in the worst situations. I’m really enjoying Silver. Her sense of humor and attitude are winning me over now that she is adjusting better to being a mage. The relationships she has with Justus, Simon and the others are all different, and you can feel each connection as she does. That could be because of the awesome job Nicole Poole does in narrating this story, but I’m definitely over my book one syndrome and thoroughly enjoying the Mageri series!
