Ok, I am going to admit here, I’m partially disappointed. I was kind of hoping for West’s book first. There is not much about Harlow in book one, so I can’t really say that I liked or disliked her. She doesn’t seem to be the town’s favorite person, but characters always have the flaws to over come. Just look at Kenna fighting her reputation. There were just so many options for this hot, fun guy. I’m excited for The Hotter You Burn because you just get a taste of the main characters in The Closer You Come and I’m sure the more I get to know them the more I’m going to love them. These guys remind me a lot of the Lords, but in a more normal, non-magical kind of way, so they are quite easy to fall in love with, despite their issues.
