Sunday Post Edition 31

Sunday Post Edition 31

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Happy Sunday everyone!  It is a dreary day today and I am feeling lazy.  My latest read is calling to me and I am trying to resist knowing that once I open that book I’m done for the rest of the day.  I read mostly ebooks and audiobooks, and my paperbacks and hardbacks I like to keep as pristine as I can get them so they look pretty on the shelves.  I am actually reading a paper book right now and made the grave mistake of leaving it on the table beside my recliner as we made a run to the local ice cream store.  I guess my Ernie was determined to punish me as I came home to find the book on the couch with a hole in the cover!  I was speechless!  Normally to get back at me he just shits in the doorway after I leave him, but to deliberately take my book?!  He has definitely learned how to get to me.  I have learned my lesson though, no book will be left anywhere that crazy dog can get to.  I need a good dog trainer.

Last week on the blog we featured:

Review ~ Awaken Me Darkly by Gena Showalter
Top Ten Tuesdays ~ Most Unique Books I’ve Read
Waiting on Wednesday ~ Cursed Moon by Jaye Wells
Review ~ How To Flirt With a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper

I’m getting a trickling of responses on the survey I posted about blog style preferences. You can check out that survey here to give your feedback. I am getting ready to do some redesign and I want to make sure the blog not only reflects me, but is attractive to my readers as well. Make sure to stop by and let your thoughts be known! So far a lot of people like the deep, dark styles with avatars. I will definitely need help with that, so feel free to pimp your designer on here!

The countdown is on. In exactly one month I will be on the road headed to NOLA for the Romantic Times Convention 2014. I’m so excited I can barely stand it. I even got myself some new luggage. I just happened into a Big Lots while I was waiting for my new tires to get put on and they had a 75% off sale on luggage. I got 3, big to small for less than $30. I was thrilled. I almost bought the bright purple, but I think my family would have issues dragging that color around so I opted for a more muted color. As close as I could get to purple :) I know Parajunkee has a running list going of some of us that are going to RT. Stop by and drop your name on the list if you are going. It would be so fun to meet some of you IRL!

My daughter is wanting the Lunar Chronicles in hardback, so I dropped by Book Outlet and they had Cinder in. How could I possibly be at a book store and not buy something for myself? Not possible you say? You would be right. I grabbed a hardback copy of Thirteen by Kelley Armstrong. Now I have the first and the last of the Women of the Otherworld!

Oh dogs are so funny. My daughter’s dog ate her current read..when she went to work, it was on shelf which he must have stood on hind legs to reach.and of course it was MY BOOK she borrowed.

    • Tanya Davis

Oh LOL what a sneaky pup! They sure know the things that will get our attention most!

Animals just *know*, I’m tellin’ ya! Gah! Everyone is reading How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf and I’m trying desperately to work it into the schedule. I’ve only had it on my TBR for nearly 3 years now! LOL Have a great week! :)

    • Tanya Davis

I had the Flirt With a Naked Werewolf for a long time too. I had so many on my audio shelf that I had my daughter pick one and she liked the sound of this one. I was just overwhelmed with choices! LOL

  • Whitney Martin

That’s so exciting you get to go to that convention! I would love to do that one day!

I love dogs, my last one got stolen it was very sad!

I’m sorry to hear about your dog! That must have been horrible! I am very excited about this convention. It’s going to be a lot bigger than what I am used to, so I’m hoping I don’t get overwhelmed.

I’m planing on going to RT YAY! I’ll get to meet you. See you soon :)

    • Tanya Davis

Seriously? That is awesome! I can’t wait!

They might not look like it, but dogs are mind-readers when they want to get back at us lol ! I must read Awaken. Have a great week !

    • Tanya Davis

They definitely are mind readers. They know their sweetness helps them get away with it all too. It’s hard to stay mad at those furry little faces!

  • Peggy Farooqi

Oh dear, count yourself lucky though the book only had a hole and was otherwise still ‘alive’ :) I do love conventions – have a great time which I’m sure you will.
